Intro & New Features

New for the 2021 season is the CCM Jetspeed Youth Hockey Skates. CCM developed this skate entirely to help young players learn and improve their skating, and to enjoy the game to its fullest. The features on this skate are completely unique and have been thought through to help first timers on the ice. They include two (2) sets of blades: one to help the child’s stability on the ice and the other to help the child improve their skating performance.

Boot Construction & Stiffness Profile

A 3D Injected quarter package composes the Jetspeed Youth skate. This new ergonomic boot-shape is specifically designed to provide children with comfort and stability on the ice. It also features a flexible boot facing zone. This allows you to comfortably wrap the boot around the ankle and allows the child to flex the skate when learning the proper skating techniques.

Steel Runner, Holder & Blade Profile

For the first time ever, the Jetspeed Youth skate comes with two blades: the stability blade, and the performance blade.

The stability blade features a flat profile and an increased thickness, allowing kids to be more stable when they step on the ice for the first time. This blade will help them learn key staking techniques like starts, stops, and stride.

Once the beginner movements have been learned on the ice, it’s time to switch blades to the performance blade to master these skills. This blade features the same profiles as CCM regular stock youth skate products and comes with a performance profile.

The switch between blades is effortless, and can be done within minutes.

Liner & Internal Padding

The liner consists of Brushed Microfiber. This is designed to provide comfort and durability with added protection to the high-wear areas to reduce the amount of wear and discomfort caused by rubbing.

Tongue

The Jetspeed Youth is equipped with a 7mm felt based tongue with embossed lace-bite protection.

Insoles

CCM has also added the molded kid sizing zone insoles. It’s now easier than ever to fit tiny feet. These soles provide young players with support, comfort, and the most accurate measurement for sizing.

Lacing System

The Jetspeed line continues with the tried and true standard eyelet lacing system.

Graphics

The graphic on the CCM Youth Skate is quite similar to that of the FT4. The flashy but clean black red and white pattern will have the skates sure to be noticed.
